RE: appointment of new Principal for Leigh Academy Molehill.
You may know that Mrs Smith has recently been appointed to lead a much larger academy within Leigh Academies Trust, starting in September. In Mrs Smith’s five years as Principal, Molehill has been judged outstanding in all categories by Ofsted and its academic results are now consistently amongst the very top performing primary schools in Kent. I know you will be disappointed to see her moving on.
However, I am delighted to say that we have recently managed to appoint an excellent successor for Mrs Smith as Principal. The successful candidate, following a national recruitment search, is Dr Danielle Hall. Dr Hall has held various leadership roles with the Island Learning Trust which has primary schools in Sittingbourne and on the Isle of Sheppey. In her new role with us she will be supported by Mrs Jones, our excellent Vice Principal, plus our wider team of dedicated and talented staff at Molehill.
We are very confident that this appointment secures the strong trajectory that Molehill is following so that we can enjoy even more success in the future. I know Dr Hall is looking forward to introducing herself to you all in due course. Thank you for your ongoing support.
